The Regiment was closely connected with the Covenanters, and was raised in Douglas, almost 300 years ago. The Regiment (although disbanded 5 years ago) still holds an annual conventicle here about the middle of May each year.

2. Alexander Malcolm Brownlie, born 15 February 1951.

3. Irene June Brownlie, born 14 February 1953.
